2D Industrial Heart

4.6K Views

Description

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

But why does this piece look so much different than my other Industrial Hearts? Because this one is two-dimensional! With the exception of small three dimensional details, of course. This gives it a lot of depth. I will definitely be selling these soon if there is enough interest, for sure!

This piece is a total eyecatcher for it's style AND size - it's a whopping 2 1/2 inches tall at the highest point, so it really will get some attention!

I often get customers who don't want 3d objects and just want something flat that will rest against their collarbone or chest without moving around a whole lot - this is definitely something for them!

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. There is a stainless steel loop in the top which is attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto an 21" aluminum chain necklace with lobster clasp.
