.75" Tentacle Gauges by monsterkookies .75" Tentacle Gauges by monsterkookies
This was the first time I have ever created plugs, although I won't be doing them on a regular basis.

These are actually 3/4" gauge plugs. Aren't they neat? They are bright purple tentacles with pink spots and glow in the dark suckers with lime green centres. The glow in the dark is a funny colour to work with... it comes out slightly transparent and milky white-green.

Their diameter is true to 3/4", although the flare was a littttle big so the lady I made them for has to slightly weigh/stretch their ears first. :P But hey, I've never made these things before so I think I did alright! :)

Also, I thought I would mention this... most folks say that gauges cannot be made from polymer clay (for hygenic reasons) but there ARE exceptions to this rule. Polymer Clay plugs should ONLY be worn in HEALED stretched ears, and not be worn overnight. Simple as that. :)

Completely handsculpted from polymer clay.

There is actually no exception to wearing polymer clay in the body for any period of time longer than a few moments. While it's very pretty and well made, the heat from your skin warms the clay and releases toxins which easily leach into your ears and can damage them and break down the skin and tissues over time, healed or not. Not only that, but the clay is also porous and traps dead skin cells, making it virtually impossible to clean even if they are "sealed." Not trying to patronize you, just looking out for everyone's ears.

I made these once as an experimental project and the wearer was well aware of this before I made it for them. Thanks.

one of them does not look it can be put on from the thin end of the tenticle.. and chances are that if you put it on the other way, they will wall out (just helping you better your work) Unless the camera has lied and I'm seeing the small end in a place where it is not. If so can you post more? ^^
