Aviator - Back

Description

This is the 84th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Aviator.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.

I've done hearts in which the wings were poking straight out from the sides of the heart, but I wanted something a little different this time, so I put them on the sides and affixed them with a golden watch winder on each side as well as a chain that is draped in the middle.

Eventually there will be a vintage key hanging from the draped chain in the middle, but I wanted to take photos beforehand since I love it just the way it is, hehe.
