Description

This is the 134th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Balanced Efficiency.

Each of my Industrial Hearts starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire piece is about 1 1/2" tall and is antiqued with black acrylics and then finished with a satin glaze for a slight metal sheen. It has a loop in the top that is attached to a keyring style jumpring and is strung on an 18" silver tone link chain with lobster clasp.

Here is where the idea for the name came from - Michael Muth:
So much going on here... Left: Armature balancing weights. Top: Belt Driven w/Dual Injection with Exhaust Headers. Center: Tooled Leather Interior. Lower Center: Heart Stint and Resistor to resist heart attacks. Lower Right: A Gear or Boot Spur. I'll name it. "Balanced to Run Efficiently"
