Black Forest Cake Ring

Description

This cake is made up of three layers of decadent dark chocolate cake drizzled with kirsch - a cherry brandy. It is filled with layer upon layer of fresh cherries and whipped cream, and the sides are covered in chocolatey dark sprinkles.

The top is slathered in cherries and their sticky sweet sauce - half cherries, whole cherries, and their sweet and sour goodness. Dainty whipped cream borders the sides and dollups on top are topped with whole maraschino cherries with their stems in tact.

Delicious!

Oh, did I also mention that it ISN'T edible? Yes. It's polymer clay. These slices of cake are about 1" high, excluding the cherry stem, which stands on it's own. The slice of cake sits on an adjustable ring.

I can't tell you how labour intensive this cake, is! Because of all the layers, the cake requires many baking intervals as I add a new layer. Because of how long these lil' cake slices usually take, there are only a few in stock at this time. The last batch sold super quickly, and I have gotten a lot people asking when I was going to make more... so get one while you CAN!

How did you attach the charm to the ring? I've been trying to find it out for awhile.
