Bulova Closeup

This is Bulova the Mechanical Birdie, named after the watch crown in his left eye.

He's also got one blue eye, as well. It is a blue jeweled watch crown that I found in my watch part collection. I just had to make it into an eye!

He is relatively symetrical in his panel pattern, except for a few spots in which a little assymetry was added for some further interest. I also tested out a new wing technique, and added some coiling around the legs.

Although this creature looks to be made from metal, he is not - he is completely handsculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings and wire legs. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.
