Darwin the Mechanical Birdie

This is Darwin - a Mechanical Birdie of mine. He is mainly gold and maroon, but also has hints of steel and brass. He has goggles, many gears on his back, and Darwin's "tree of life" on his tummy. He was created for a professor that teaches about Darwin's theories.



Although this creature looks to be made from metal, he is not - he is completely handsculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings and wire legs. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.
