Erics Heart - Front

1.8K Views

Description

This is the 66th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Erics Heart.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

This particular piece is super large - it is actually about 5 times bigger than all of my other Industrial Hearts. It was made as a pair with Natalies Heart - which is the 67th heart in the Industrial Heart collection.

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
