Fabricated Heartbeat Remake

Description

This heart is a remake, and is based off the 40th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Fabricated Heartbeat.

Fabricated Heartbeat quickly became one of my most popular industrial hearts after it was first created more than three years ago. I thought it was about time that I released a new photo of how it came to look after so many years of creating it. It is now one of the few standard designs that I offer in my shop on a regular basis. In popularity, it is most likely second to Barbed Rosette.

Each of my Industrial Hearts starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire piece is about 1 1/2" tall and is antiqued with black acrylics and then finished with a satin glaze for a slight metal sheen. It has a loop in the top that is attached to a keyring style jumpring and is strung on an 18" silver tone link chain with lobster clasp.
