This is the 37th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Fly Away.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets.

This piece is actually quite a bit smaller than my other Industrial Hearts, and is quite similar in size to my "You Make My Heart Soar" heart. In the middle of the heart, there is a centrepiece that resembles a wheel shape - this is resemblant of the fact that the person recieving it was hit by a car. Morbid, yes... but she is okay!

On the outside of the wheel is two lovely brass antiqued wings. I love these things - their so tiny! On the back is much more brass detailing, rivets, gears, and such as well.

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
