Artist's Comments
This is the 6th piece in the FUSION sector of my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Hot Pink: Fusion.
Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added. This piece was a fusion between Fabricated Heartbeat and Stitched: Fusion with a hot pink spin to it. The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
