This is the 79th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Intricate Workings.
Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.
The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
This particular piece was requested to have lots and lots and lots of gears. Their favourite was the first original Industrial Heart, "My Heart Ticks", except they wanted more gears, dangling chains with a teardrop and some hanging gears, as well as a barbed wire loop off the side for the chains to hang from.

gaaw i wanna make something with gears so bad but i dont know where to get some i've tried taking apart some watches but i couldnt i feel like going around the house and destroying all the clocks and watches so i could have gears xD but its probably a bad idea.
Unfortunately, a lot of clocks and watches now have a lot of cheap plastic gears in them! It's kind of upsetting. I replied to your other posts as to how to find them.
Exactly. But if you wanted to, you could mold the plastic gears, press metallic clay into the mold, and then add some mica powders for real metallic effect and then add them to your creations.
