This is the eighteenth MechOwlie that I have created, and she has been named Lena. She is dark pewter with bright platinum and dusty pink details, and is decorated in whimsical curls, fine ballchain, and various textures.

She is the mate to Vinta - a male MechOwlie.

Although this creature looks to be made from metal, it is not - it is completely handsculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.

:bulletpurple: Custom MechOwlies are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.

Thanks! It took a lot of practice to get right - they aren't perfect, but I think they're pretty decent. I have a tiny little white soft light box and four lights around it that have daylight bulbs in them. :) And I make sure to hold the camera REALLY steady and use the macro setting.

Thanks! I have a light box but I need some daylight bulbs and 3 more lamps. :) The house I am staying in has NO sunlight coming in so my photos aren't as good as I would like them to be. I think I will try the multiple lamps with my light box.

Thanks!

No problem! I hope it works for you. If lights don't work, you can always take your stuff outside and take photos in the sunlight. Just bring a piece of paper with you to use as a background. :)

I'm trying my light box outside. :) The shadows are WAY too harsh no matter what time of day I go out, but the light box is softening them up for me. Just playing around. Down side is, I live in Texas so right now during the summer once it hits 8AM you break a sweat just by checking the mail... I guess it is a small price to pay for AWESOME pictures. :) Thanks!

That definitely sounds like a good idea! :) That'll soften that crazy Texas sunshine. :XD:
