Man vs Machine - Back

This is the 59th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Man vs. Machine.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

This particular piece features half of my Industrial Heart design, with panels, rivets, and gears, but the other half features the red human heart design, complete with all the components of a real working heart and several blue and red veins. This has been something I have wanted to make for a very long time, especially after =Jaras-angel ended up drawing it out, but just haven't gotten around to it until now! I lovvvvve it!

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
