Mechanical Apoctopus by monsterkookies Mechanical Apoctopus by monsterkookies
In a future world that has been destroyed by humans, only creatures in the darkest corners of the Earth have survived. The Apoctopus learns to adapt in the depths of an ocean whose waters had been tainted with the bi-products of the nuclear industry, some several centuries ago...

Of course, like a modern day Octopus he has eight long tentacles, which intertwine with eachother creating a tangled mess of tentacle knots. Each tentacle is slightly different, with brassy suction cups and plenty of texturing. His face is definitely not that of your regular octopus, as he has had to adapt to his harsh environment. He's got a strange warped fin on the back of his head, and it's purpose is unknown. His eyes are black and glazed over with only the slightest glimpse of life in his pupils, and he breathes water through a three-port filtration mask.

He looks to be a rusted steel in colour, with blotches of gold, bronze, and antique brass. Although this creature looks to be made from metal, he is not - he is completely handsculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.

'Twould make a great Monopoly piece :D, but I jest. Really, I love the creepy gasmask design and the elaborately detailed tentacles. You do great justice to the apoctopus.

Thank you for sharing your art; much appreciated.
