Mechanism - Back

This is the 47th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Mechanism.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

This particular customer loved the aspects Stitched Fusion Design, but didn't want something exact. Things like the hanging chain, brass locket, stitches, and the use of the silver, red, and black interested her. So this was the result!

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
