Mendeleev - Front by monsterkookies Mendeleev - Front by monsterkookies
This is the twenty-sixth MechOwlie that I have created, and he has been named Mendeleev. He is one of two creatures being created in this theme - the other creature being a Mechanical Birdie named Curie.

Mendeleev has been named after the father of the periodic table. He has a Biohazard symbol on his tummy, goggles, a metallic green exterior, and eyes that glow a bright green in the dark.

Although this creature looks to be made from metal, it is not - it is completely handsculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.

:bulletpurple: Custom MechOwlies are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.

Quite fine...and I like the name of the other one (Curie). I work with pure elements myself, and can appreciate the reference.

Wonderful work. I'm working with some Kato at the moment to try and create an embodiment of a beast from one of my favorite books (Weaveworld).

Keep on keeping on!

Thank-you very much! I'm looking forward to creating Curie. She is on her way to being done, though.

Good luck in your sculpting adventures.
