Artist's Comments
This lil' guy is the fourth bird I have made, and is a cousin to Bertram, Gunther, and Leemington. He is named for his pale green metallic colour.
He is made from polymer clay and has been antiqued with black acrylics to give a worn and greased look. As opposed to working with a vast aray of metal components this time, I wanted to get more decorative with the rivets and paneling. It's got a very lovely simplistic feel to it. On top of his head, he has a little brass crest, and he has two chains that dangle under his chin. Details are picked out against the olive metallic green with a lovely brass colour. He stands rather high on his wire legs. Yes, he stands by himself. How does he balance? Well, look at how his body is posed. The good old "center of gravity" rule helps him to stand with no problems.
