"Would you tell me, please," said Alice, a little timidly, "why you are painting those roses?"
Five and Seven said nothing, but looked at Two. Two began, in a low voice, "Why the fact is, you see, Miss, this here ought to have been a red rose tree, and we put a white one in by mistake..."
The symbolism of the wonderful story of Alice in Wonderland can certainly be remembered, but one symbol that really hasn't been replicated to death have to be the painted white roses. It's just one of those little details that really seems to be magical! Folks that see this dainty little rose on your finger will definitely be reminded of little Alice, the roses, and the cards.
This handmade rose looks to be white and in the midst of being painted. Half of the rose has already been painted red, but a lot of white still remains as well as a little bit of red paint splatter tainting the untouched white petals... perhaps from a card with his brush in an unsteady hand? It could very well be.
The entire rose has a slight pearly shine to it to add a little more whimsical appeal.
Completely hand sculpted from polymer clay, of course.
