Rainbow Cake - Polymer Clay

Okay, so normally Kookie doesn't like to hop on the clay charm bandwagon, but when that bandwagon consists of layers upon layers of rainbows and frosting, I just had to give 'er a shot... so here is my take on the ever popular rainbow cake!

My god, I am sooo hungry for cake, now.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple cake layers have been slathered with a white and fluffy vanilla frosting and then generously sprinkled with rainbow confetti sprinkles as well as crystal clear micro beads for that perfect shimmer.

The texture of the cake looks so real and so convincing that you'd SWEAR it was edible!

The entire thing has been handcrafted from polymer clay without the use of molds. Often times, you will see polymer clay cake slices sprinkled with REAL candy sprinkles, but the colour of those sprinkles can bleed into the cake over time. The rainbow sprinkles used on this cake have all been handrolled from polymer clay - each and every single one of them by hand. It's a long process, but it's worth it! This cake has been triple glazed for shine and durability.
