In a future world that has been destroyed by humans, only creatures in the darkest corners of the Earth have survived. It is the year 2089, and scientists have discovered what they can only guess is a severed limb from an unknown aquatic specimen. But where is the rest of him...?

Although this tentacle looks to be made from metal, it is not - it is completely hand-sculpted from polymer clay with the addition of a few metal findings and wire. This piece has been glazed with a satin finish for a slight sheen and durability.

The tentacle features intricate details, coils, wires, copper with patina, and bits of real rust. It has been mounted on a pine plaque that I have washed with ebony stain and sanded for a worn effect.
