Shining Armour - Frontby *monsterkookies

Artisan Crafts / Jewelry

This is the 97th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Sacred Heart.

Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.

I have given this heart the look of armour with it's various rivetted overlapped panels, and on the back is Assyrian cuneiform, which is the one of the earliest forms of writing, and it says "life" and "speak", as the person I made this for is an author.

I got to use a nice mix of both silver and gold, as well, which really compliments the golden focal "sunburst" gear in the front.

Completely hand sculpted from polymer clay with various additional findings.
