This is #10 of my Industrial Heart Collection, entitled: Tangled Mess

This piece consists of cold steel paneling with rivets, as well as an opening in the front filled with gears as well as many tangled wires falling all over the place. It's great - I love a good mess!

In the side is a circular vent that allows for maximum circulation. It is actually made from a single gear inside of a silver grommit in which the clay in the center has been hollowed out.

On the back is a simple knob as well as more rivet detailing. If you look very hard, you will see a very inconspicuous "R" and "J" which are the initials that my customer wanted somewhere on the heart. They are actually part of the panel grooves, so they are like a little game to search for them. But than again, she wanted them very inconspicuous. As you can see, the back is rather greased up for that heavy-used machinery look.

Man, these hearts actually look like if you plugged them in, they'd do something.

Science can only the "how" of things, not the "why."
Example: we know that Van Gogh's "Starry Night" was created by applying vivid paints to a canvas, but we don't know why he chose those colors, that scene, or why he chose to paint at all.
:iconmonsterkookies:
Haha! I wish! If I plugged them in they would probably explode! Bahahaha.

I like this :) When I first read about the "R" and "J" I immediately thought Romeo and Juliet for some reason...
