The Engineer by monsterkookies The Engineer by monsterkookies
This is the 133rd piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, The Engineer.

Each of my Industrial Hearts starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire piece is about 1 1/2" tall and is antiqued with black acrylics and then finished with a satin glaze for a slight metal sheen. It has a loop in the top that is attached to a keyring style jumpring and is strung on an 18" silver tone link chain with lobster clasp.

This was a very different haphazard design compared to the other hearts in my collection, and rather experimental. I was trying out a few new design additions and techniques, as well. :) Less clean lines and more asymmetrical than past designs.
