Artist's Comments
This is the 1st Fusion Heart in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled "Torn Fusion"
This is a fusion of two of my favourite designs: My "Internal Mechanism" design as well as my "Nobody's Perfect" design in my Industrial Heart Collection. This Industrial Heart is made from polymer clay and has all of the components of the anatomically correct human heart. It has been geared to look like metal, along with panel and rivet detailing. In this heart are several red gashes that have been repaired with black stitches. In the front is a brass locket that houses the innards of the heart - little watch gears to keep it running. Keep it open or closed - your choice. The entire thing has been greased with black acrylics for that worn machinery looked and has been textured in places for that fine corrugated metal look. A loop in the top contains a keyring style jumpring to thread onto a black leather necklace cord with chain extension and small silver heart charm.
