Tuned Into You

These are a matching pair of Industrial Hearts, my 12th design, entitled: Tuned Into You

I didn't want to have two different names for these hearts, namely because they go together. I recieved a very lovely e-mail from a lady named Theresa, and she described to me very passionately about her boyfriend, and how she wanted a heart for him but wanted a matching one for herself as well.

I thought that matching hearts was a lovely idea, but I wanted to do something a little more than that. I wanted to make hearts that belonged together, not just match.

Without you, there is music... but no sound.

So I created two hearts that could be joined together. I used a male and female (hah!) headphone jack, or course. On the front, there is a very small black speaker as well! I went on a shopping spree at an electronics shop here in Toronto, called "Honson Supremetronic Inc." I was slobbering at the aisles upon aisles of electronics in tiny little plastic organizer drawers.

So these hearts are made from polymer clay, and are steel coloured with added "grease" for that worn machinery look. In the back is a homemade coil and plenty of rivet and paneling details. One piece has a male jack and the other has a female jack, seriously... that is what they are called, male and female! - can you guess which is which? Of course you can! The male jack resembles a PENIS! Bahahaha! And you can just guess what the other female "internal" jack resembles. Huh? Huh? Okay... you got it.

ENOUGH with my potty mouth. BEHAVE, Kookie.

So. These pieces belong together. Just like the people they are FOR!
