This is the 14th heart of my Industrial Heart Collection, entitled: "Turbulent Romance"
When the lady who asked me for this heart was giving me ideas, all she told me was one thing, and that was that she wanted a heart that was inspired by a jet engine. The rest was up to me. At first, I was baffled - just how the hell am I going to find a turbine for an engine this tiny? I'll have to make one! So I ventured out to find some Tin Snips and Angelo gave me some sheet metal to hack at. After a few attempts, I started to get flustered. Until Angelo gave me some tips and gave it a try. He was on the right track! So I sat for a bit, cut a tiny circle from sheet metal and got to work. The end result was lovely! A teensy weensy little turbine. Now I needed all of the other components! The body of the heart is blue metallic with panel and rivet detailing. There is a solid steel ring housing the turbine in the front as well as a black nose on the turbine to complete the jet engine. On the sides and back is slender fuel pipe detail made from small nuts and black mechanics wire. I have also used a thermal fuse and other various electrical parts. There is also a red LED on the back. I hope Valentina likes the result - this jet engine is travelling all the way to Italy to get to her!
