Wounded and Stitched Heart

This piece was extremely fun to make! I started out with a lovely slime-green heart, and decided to mutilate it.

I made a gash down the center and than made it bloody. You can actually see how the gash is indented and the blood is pooling to the surface. But I didn't want to leave this heart wounded, so I gave it some stitches.

The stitches are polymer clay - their not painted on. The stitches have been very carefully placed to give it a very three dimension threaded look. I am very happy with the result.

Of course, a gash and some stitches wasn't enough. I splattered the heart with blood.

Muahahahah! Everyday is Halloween!
