Somebody requested an anatomically correct heart for a good friend of theres who happens to be a blacksmith artist. So I wanted to do something BEYOND just your typical horseshoe design.
It was inspired by the artistry of iron gates and the lovely swirl patterns they often follow. The entire heart is covered in these swirls and it has been made to look like very worn and weathered iron beginning to rust. It's got tiny little rhinestones on it as well, just to really make it pop.
As usual, this piece is made out of polymer clay. It has been handsculpted without the use of molds.
