Description

This is the 137th set in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, DigiLove.

Here is a word from the couple in which I made it for:

"We have been in a long-distance relationship for a bit over a year now. We see each other roughly every 6th week, seeing as he lives in Oxford and I live in a small city in Sweden. Being in a long distance relationship has made it very important for us to keep tokens of each other around, especially for those days when we really want the other around but the outlook that we can be physically together permanently looks bleak.

It's often very frustrating, especially when one of us gets internet issues that leads to only seeing a pixel-y face and hearing lagging sound for days or weeks. We rely a lot on sending each other tiny gifts through the mail."

Each of my Industrial Hearts starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.

The entire piece is about 1 1/2" tall and is antiqued with black acrylics and then finished with a satin glaze for a slight metal sheen. It has a loop in the top that is attached to a keyring style jumpring and is strung on an 18" silver tone link chain with lobster clasp.

My wife survived a kidney transplant. Would you attempt to make her a kidney like this? I know she loves this style and watched your page.
