Red Human Heart - Evolved

We all evolve at some point - especially our work. The more you create something, the better you get at it... the more you create something, the more likely you are to change it down the line.

Way back when I first created my anatomically correct human heart, I had a lot of orders for it! I had lists of people waiting to get one. But as I started making it more and more, I started getting better at it... and then I wanted to change it to challenge myself a bit more.

So I came up with this! This is the NEW red human heart, and I have used my favourite patina/antiquing technique with black acrylics (the same technique I use with my Industrial hearts) to make it look more realistic and gory. It's got raised veins instead of painted veins, as well as black engraved veins in the background. While those veins are added raw, the scratched black lines you see are added after the clay has been baked and cooled. This is also when the black acrylics are added.

What do you think? I'm not sure it will outright replace my previous red human heart, but it may overtime if folks *prefer* this one.
